Editing Tips

  1. If you paste from Word or from other web pages, the first thing to do is select the text you just pasted and click the Remove formatting (eraser) button.
  2. The enter key starts a new paragraph. Use shift+enter if you just want a new line, like in an address:
    DeWitt Clinton  (shift-enter)
    123 Reade St.  (shift-enter)
    New York, NY 10002
  3. You can use the Path selector at the bottom of the editor to make selections that are difficult to make with just the cursor.
  4. The Styles menu lists a number of custom styles that only have meaning in certain sites. Ignore styles other than Float Left and Float Right.
